In treating hair and getting an attractive appearance, men not only rely solely on combs and water, but also need hair oil. With hair oil, the desired hairstyles are more easily realized and the results are more durable. Nowadays there are more and more care products available for men, one of which is hair oil. Hair oil for men consists of several types and textures, commonly known as wax, serum, pomade, and gel.

Types of Hair Oil for Men

Men's hair oil is useful for styling your hair to look stylish, but it still has a natural impression. Even so, the use of hair oil is recommended to be adjusted to the type of hair. Here are the various types of hair oil for men that can be used daily, namely:
  • Cream

  • If the strands of your hair are thick and coarse, choose a creamy hair oil. Cream will make your hair look shiny.
  • Wax

  • Wax is a hair oil made from wax. If you want a natural, messy hair style that doesn't look wet and stiff, use waxed male hair oil. However, avoid using wax if your hair type is limp and long, because this hair oil is considered too heavy for that type of hair.
  • Pomade

  • Another option if you want a certain hairstyle style is to use pomade men's hair oil. Pomade texture is almost the same as wax, but softer. The effect of using pomade can make hair look wet, shiny, and soften hair that is difficult to manage.
  • Gel

  • Hair gel generally contains a polymer that coats the hair, so hair is more easily formed. If you have dry and dandruff scalp, avoid gel products containing alcohol.
  • Serum

  • If you have curly hair and tend to be dry, serum is the right hair oil for men. Serum in the form of liquid that is used by spraying it on the hair. Serum works to make hair softer, shiny, and is not usually used to form a hairdo.
  • Mousse

  • Mousse is in the form of cream and there is also a liquid form. Mousse is not an oil-based hair product, so it is suitable for use by oily hair owners. The function of mousse is to make the hair look more fluffy with a look that remains natural without looking piling up. Apply mousse when the hair is still wet or moist. After that, flatten the mousse by combing hair.

Tips for Using Hair Oil for Men

The rules for using men's hair oil and compatibility factors should be a benchmark when using it. There are at least three points that you can make a major consideration, including:
  • Take only a little hair oil to avoid using too much. Rub it on the palm of the hand before it is applied to the hair so that the hair oil is warmer and evenly distributed.
  • When wearing it, flatten it all over your head. There should be no hair oil clumping or more only on certain sides so that you look perfect.
  • Men's hair oil can cause zits on the scalp, if not cleaned properly. Generally hair oil contains oily ingredients that can clog the scalp. If the scalp has pimples, stop using hair oil first.
Men's hair oil helps in changing hair styles in a short time according to taste. However, do not be used excessively to avoid problems with hair and scalp.
